Why do you need high adoption? So long as your contacts can follow an invite link and install an app that’s all you need for yourself right?

As someone who has used XMPP on mobile continuously since 2010 and now maintains one mobile client, I’m wondering what you current find lacking there which we could improve?

You may want to check out https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.cheogram.android/ for replies, custom emoji, and other fun stuff. e2ee options for reactions are specced and being worked on, just takes time to get things implemented with a small group of devs 🙂
