Chels is grounded… maybe for good. I’m not gonna blow all the details out here in public, but I’m just asking if you could all pray for me.. and mark too. This is already hard and it’s not even halfway through the first day for me yet. Thanks ๐
So this is to be a short update on what has been happening in my life… which is just about not so muchness. We watched
Patch Adams on Saturday — great movie that one ๐ I’m staying on top in my schoolwork and my grades seem to be moving upward, which is a positive thing (no pun intended, or was it intended? I hate it when an author purposely draws attention to a might-be pun so I’m gonna shut up now ๐ ) I’ve fixed the ‘recent comments’ element in my sidebar, which has been misbehaving due to some laziness on my part. Uhh… *thinks* I had something else to go in here… didn’t I? maybe not ๐ Life runs smoothly along and all that fun stuf… we have our tickets (did I tell you that?) for June 20-something staying in Germany a few days to visit my Mom’s cousin… then home before the end of June and… who knows what from there ๐ Really looking forward to meeting Trev and all that fun stuff ๐
Some of you may have noticed (if you didn’t, notice now! haha ๐ ) the ‘nsa blogs’ element in my sidebar. If it looks like a blogring that’s because it is. If you xanga people are wondering if it can be added to Xangas as well, it can. Such is the power of Wrinks — blogrings that can be added to any blog and that any blog can be added to! One more step towards bridging the gap to our Xanga-bound neighbours ๐ If you want to join the NSA Blogring you’ll need to go to that page, sign up for an account, and then click the ‘request to add site to wrink’ link and enter your blog’s information. I’ll check the page periodically and approve new entries onto the ring.
Worry not for tomorrow, ’cause you’ll most likely die this afternoon
Yes, it’s true, I’ve got my acceptance back from EBC! ๐ A bit after
Trev, but I was a lot slower in getting my application in (tsk, tsk). Helps me to know that I’m gonna be alright for next year, since I only had one option in mind (not usually a reccomended college-application practise ;P). As some of you may have heard, they need to do something about the way they tell you about your acceptance… they call the first year ‘MountainTop’ and so no matter what program you apply for they tell you you’ve been accepted into ‘the MountainTop Program’… talk about weird… anyway ๐
I’m better too — whatever sickyness I had is goneyness. I have a runny nose and a cough, but who doesn’t? ;P It could be… (dare I say it?)… allergies. I technically am alergic to a half a million normal everyday things (dust, dog fur, etc), but nothing serious and nothing where you can tell if that’s it or not. Meh, matters little, it’s just annoying having to blow your nose every two minutes.
And that’s about it, just thought I’d let everyone know the news ๐
Yes I’ve been a bit sick as of late — just haven’t got around to posting about it ๐ Parents think it may be malaria-related and have me on those drugs — whatever the case it seems to be getting better ๐ Not a lot else happening — school, chat, lounging around, the usual. Chels threw out her back awhile ago and that’s been really bothering me… but she’s recovering slowly ๐ How do some of you ppl post every day?? I can hardly think of anyting to write and it’s been awhile… oh, I’ve finished up my EBC application, and their next meeting is on the 27th, so I should know if I’m in or not soon ๐ School seems to be going alright, and some of my marks are picking up a bit… not as good as I would have hoped, but I’ll have to live with it ๐ Well I’m sure (as always) that there’s more to say… but I can’t think of a thing… so until next time and hope to see you online!
Yesterday was Valentines day, and we had a sort of party-thing hosted by Aunt Cindy McCordic for lunch. It was a lot of fun — we ate spaghetti with cheese sauce and played some games. Two of them were mind-trick games — one where Aunt Cindy did something we were supposed to copy, but no one could get it because they didn’t notice she’d cleared her throat at the beginning, and one Janelle did called ‘Chinese numbers’ (but I won’t tell you how it works, ’cause that’d spoil it ๐ ). We also played a wonderful trick on me! You see, there’s this game where you stick a funnel in the top of your pants and then stick a coin to your head and try to drop it into the funnel. Not an easy task! Well, while you’re busy sticking the coin to your head, someone runs over and pours water into the funnel!! Hehe, all in all, it was great fun ๐
Not whole globs of other stuff going on right now… although I’m sure I had thought of something else to say in this post ๐ ah, well, I always seem to forget what all I was gonna say.
Oh, and by the way, I have a bunch of new pictures on my flickr again — check ’em out ๐
